IRRIGATION WATER DELIVERY DISTRICT

What is an IWDD?

IWDD = Irrigation Water Delivery District

A legal structure wholly controlled and run by our neighborhood that galvanizes our neighborhood’s water rights; it facilitates procedure and funding for maintenance and repair of our irrigation system to ensure perpetual functional operation of our flood irrigation system and continued access to our flood irrigation water. An IWDD falls under Arizona Revised Statutes – Title 48, Chapter 20.

How can I be involved?

If you own a home in the Evergreen Historic District and receive irrigation water from SRP then you may be within the boundaries of the Evergreen IWDD and have authority to be involved to the level at which you are comfortable. At minimum you are welcome and encouraged to attend all IWDD meetings to be informed and provide input. Beyond that, any neighbor is welcome to seek a board position that comes with official responsibilities to run meetings and schedule repairs and maintenance.

Follow the calendar or request to be added to the mailing list in order to stay up to date with meetings and events, or contact us to become a contributor, board member, or if you have any questions.

*Please note: If you live in the Evergreen Historic District and receive water from City of Mesa then you are NOT part of the Evergreen IWDD.
